As ICE activity increases throughout Minnesota, it is important that employers, employees, neighbors, and community organizations have the resources to keep each other safe.

Below is a list of resources compiled from many organizations on how to protect yourself and others from ICE.

For Employers & Small Businesses

ACER Inc.’s  Emergency Business Support Grant funds small businesses in the Northwest Suburbs of Minnesota that have been directly impacted by ICE operations. Eligible business locations include Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Maple Grove, Osseo, Coon Rapids, Crystal, and New Hope. Funds can be used for supplies and inventory, payroll and operations, rent, and/or working capital.

Know Your Rights information for immigrants is available from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)

The Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC) has a resource guide for housing and workplace support, navigating immigration cases, and more.

Community Defense Training is hosted weekly and shares important skills for building neighborhood resilience, documenting ICE activity, and supporting neighbors. In addition to covering the basics of ICE Watch, we will discuss new analysis on ICE operations, rapid response tactics, and safety guidance.

Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota provides free immigration legal representation to low-income immigrants and refugees in Minnesota and North Dakota based on capacity. Volunteer Lawyers Network connects Minnesotans experiencing poverty with volunteer lawyers to help with civil legal issues like bankruptcy, immigration, and more.
