Eva Song Margolis

Director of Advancement 

Eva Song Margolis joined MCCD in 2024 as advancement director where she leads an integrated strategic vision that expands awareness of our impact and priorities, and engages diverse stakeholders. Prior to joining MCCD, she was a program officer at Greater Twin Cities United Way where she grew their Economic Opportunity scope to include community wealth building approaches and establish a small business development strategy for entrepreneurs of color. Eva also served as the Eastside Financial Center director and Economic Empowerment & Employment Services director at Lutheran Social Service of MN where she was responsible for strategic planning, program implementation, operations, fundraising, communications and evaluation. She also has experience in workforce development, asset-building, fair housing, and youth development fields. Eva is a board member of Hmong American Famers Association. She received her B.A. in Anthropology from Occidental College in Los Angeles.

Eva is deeply committed to social, racial, and economic justice, and supports various spaces towards that struggle. She enjoys reading, writing poetry, running and learning kayaguem (a Korean stringed instrument.)
