A message from Gunnar Carlson, MCCD Board Chair
Dear MCCD Stakeholders,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Kit Fordham as Interim Chief Executive Officer of MCCD.
Kit brings over a decade of community development to this role, including eight years as Executive Director of Mni Sota Fund, an MCCD member organization. Under Kit’s leadership, Mni Sota Fund grew from a small startup CDFI into a $17 million institution that earned the Bush Prize in 2024.
Having served as an Interim Executive at multiple organizations, Kit also brings direct experience leading organizations through transitions that result in catalytic opportunities for renewal and growth.
Kit is not new to MCCD. He has served on our board of directors and comes to this role with a deep commitment to our members, our mission, and the community development ecosystem as a whole.
We are excited for this next chapter and grateful to our members, partners, and funders for their continued support.
The MCCD team got together in-person to meet Kit over lunch during last week's All Staff meetings.
