MCCD is excited to welcome two new business advisors, Noah Her and Carrie Mikkonen, to the team! Noah is the Business Advisor for Ramsey County, a new area for our Open to Business program, and Carrie is taking over for Anoka County after Kathleen's retirement earlier this summer.
Meet Noah
I’m excited to get started working through the Open to Business program with entrepreneurs and business owners in whatever challenges they’re faced with. My passion for business came early on in my life in Central Wisconsin through my parent’s many business ventures, including their most recent business, Wausau World Market. With everything on the line, I’ve come alongside them and help grow their businesses through my education and work experience.
Before starting here, I have had numerous jobs in different sales positions throughout my career in different industries, including sales support, inside sales to outside sales positions in bio-recycling, account management, telecom and utility industries. One thing that never changed though was my philosophy of finding win/win solutions for my customers and myself and following through on promises made. I strongly believe that communication is key.
Outside of the office, I am happily married with three wonderful kids that keep me busy with swim lessons and their high energy levels. I enjoy watching men’s volleyball and sometimes would much rather play than watch if I have time! I’m an amateur bass fisherman and enjoy following bass pros like Kevin VanDam and Mike Iaconelli. But, most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my family; BBQing, going out to eat, watching the Packers or just hanging out doing family fun night (FFN).

Meet Carrie
As a Business Advisor for Anoka County, I’m excited to partner with entrepreneurially-minded individuals and the small business community. I know firsthand the unique challenges owners face during each stage of the business lifecycle; from an idea to startup, expansion, growth, and maturity.
My interest in business started in high school when I was part of the DECA program, which prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. This led me to pursue a B.A. in Business, with an emphasis on Organizational Leadership, at Bethel University and a career in business operations, leadership, ownership, and consulting.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching my children play sports, and being in the great outdoors. Having lived in the area for 25 years, I love what it has to offer and believe it’s a great place to live, work, and own a business!
Whether you’re interested in starting or growing a business, don’t hesitate to reach out for free, one-on-one, and confidential business guidance, resources, and support. I’m here to help and can be reached at 763-438-7315 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
